Stock Market and the DJIA

Filed under: Uncategorized — John @ 7:06 pm

stocks.jpgFor a long time the Dow Jones (Stock: DJIA) has been regarded as the indicator of the financial health of our economy. But take a close look at the squiggly lines on the chart as far back as 1970. There is a constant increase but it is slow and predictable. debate.jpgI was really upset, I was working during the debate and was completely unable to convince my boss to turn on the debates on at least one of the five tv’s that are there. So… no debate info for me until after work.

Ok, first off neither of the candidates seems able to answer a question with a straight answer. Ask about the financial bailout package and get an answer on early childcare and education. Check out the transcripts for line by lines.

mom-shot-3

Filed under: Uncategorized — John @ 1:38 pm

Took mom out to the Sunken Garden in town for a quick photo-shoot. There was I with my Nikon D2x, my SB-600 and SB-800 with JTI lighting stands and umbrellas and an itty bitty Cactus Wireless Flash Trigger…

All set up and ready to go.. no problems.

Then the wind kicked up and knocked over a light stand..

The Umbrella ($25) sacrificed itself to save the SB-600 ($240). Not the best thing that could have happened, but much better than the worst thing.
