The Boondock Saints II: All Saint’s Day
The Spy Next Door (just because it has Jackie Chan)

some members of congress just simply do not understand the constitutional limits on their powers. once again folks, the constitution does not give the citizens rights (ie: using a cell-phone isn’t a right given in the constitution is not a valid argument), rather the constitution limits the powers and privileges available to the federal government (not the state governments). the arguments that the constitution doesn’t provide for other things (ie:roads, safe airplanes, safe drugs) does not lead me to believe that we should do anything we want, it leads me to believe that these are things the govt should ALSO not be involved in.
voluntary participation in a sports activity that is widely known and understood to have high risks of physical injury does not entitle you to special compensation or consideration on the part of people who elected to not participate in that activity. forcing taxpayers to support the lifestyles of people who take unnecessary risks, that they are already compensated for, is theft.
the interstate commerce clause, like the general welfare clause, has been horribly altered and misconstrued over the decades. the purpose of the interstate commerce clause was to give the federal government power to prevent the states from limiting interstate commerce. it was not intended to give the federal government power to limit interstate commerce.
bleh. seems like it doesn’t really matter much what the constitution says anymore. the congress hasn’t really paid any attention to it in generations and the large majority of them don’t have any idea what it actually says.
