Stuff I noticed…

Filed under: Fav Sites,Life in Corporal — John @ 4:13 am

Cool stuff I’ve seen:

  • Because you weren’t paying enough for cable already, Fox want’s you to have to pay extra because they can’t make a profit. Sounds like someone’s been paying attention to the MPAA/RIAA.
  • More recipe‘s for me to try out.
  • Mises Economic Blog hits the nail on the head againand againand again
  • More fun for airline passengers
  • For when you need to give a site a working email address to get a registration code, but don’t want to hear from them ever again… (may not work on all sites, some block temporary email accounts)
  • Origami can solve quadratic equations (yes, I mean paper folding does math)
  • Why I like The Oatmeal
  • Awesome bike jumping youtube embedded after link.
  • If you -snip- codes to remember them, remember to write down what they go to as well (Lizenzschlüssel: 62P8-a634-1H890-X027, huh?)

“To revolt is a natural tendency of life. Even a worm turns against the foot that crushes it.
In general, the vitality and relative dignity of an animal can be measured by the intensity of its instinct to revolt.”
- Bakunin

GreaseMonkey

Filed under: Fav Sites,Life in Corporal — John @ 9:51 pm

My mom first mentioned GreaseMonkey to me. She uses it to insert various signature files and BBcode snippits into her Delphi Forums posts (a feature not even enabled on Delphi’s Premium accounts). I just happened to run across it by accident about three months later. Although I still haven’t found the script she’s using, I’ve found quite a few others.

Grease Monkey is a FireFox extension to rewrite pages on the fly with user defined scripts. The program itself won’t affect your web page viewing until you install one of these small javascript programs.
